Editorial: End of life care in dementia: Research needed urgently to determine the acceptability and effectiveness of innovative approaches

Although dual thirds of people with insanity live in the community, the recent report from the Alzheimer's Society concluded that stream health and social caring systems are failing to await people with insanity and their family groups to go on to live during home, notwithstanding the actuality that family carers of people with insanity save the UK over £10 million the year (Alzheimer's Society, 2007). If there are few examples of innovative caring packages inside of insanity care, investigate evaluating such new approaches is even more limited (Robinson et al., 2005; Sampson et al., 2006). This section of the Dementia journal contains some examples of projects that have the intensity to urge finish of hold up caring for people with insanity and their families.
